Youyeetoo has just launched a platform based on Rockchip’s RK3588 SoC with a modular system-on-module design, targeting industrial automation and edge IoT projects that demand high performance and flexible connectivity. Key features include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support, optional 4G connectivity, and dual RJ45 Ethernet ports, including a 1GbE and an extra 2.5GbE port.

The platform uses an octa-core ARM CPU with four Cortex-A76 cores running up to 2.4GHz and four Cortex-A55 cores at 1.8GHz. The Mali-G610 MP4 GPU supports OpenGL, OpenCL, and Vulkan, while the integrated NPU provides up to 6 TOPS of AI acceleration for on-device inference using TensorFlow, PyTorch, and ONNX.

Storage options include eMMC up to 256GB, NVMe SSD via M.2, and SATA 3.0 expansion. Memory configurations range from 4GB to 32GB of LPDDR4 with speeds up to 3200Mbps.

The carrier board measures 120 mm by 88 mm, balancing expansion and durability for deployment in limited or rugged spaces. Networking includes dual Ethernet (1GbE and 2.5GbE), optional 4G LTE via Mini PCIe, and wireless connectivity through an M.2 E-key slot for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. An onboard NFC module allows secure near-field pairing with mobile devices.

Display and multimedia features include HDMI 2.1 output supporting up to 8K at 60fps or 4K at 120fps, dual MIPI DSI channels, an eDP interface, and DP1.4 via USB Type-C. Video input options include dual MIPI CSI-2 interfaces and HDMI-IN up to 4K at 60fps. Audio features include an onboard microphone, 3.5mm combo jack, SPDIF, and speaker interface.

Industrial I/O covers multiple UART ports including a dedicated debug port, CAN bus, I2C, SPI, GPIO, PWM, and ADC. Four USB 3.0 Type-A ports, a USB 2.0 header, and a USB Type-C port with DP1.4 and OTG provide flexible expansion for peripherals.

The YY3588 supports Android 14, Debian 12, Ubuntu 22.04, Buildroot, and OpenHarmony 5.x. Developer resources include a complete Yocto/Buildroot BSP, the RKNN-Toolkit2 for NPU tasks, and NFC API libraries.
