LattePanda has expanded its x86 compute module lineup with the Mu Ultra, a compact device based on Intel Core Ultra 200V “Lunar Lake” processors. The module is offered with Core Ultra 5 226V and Core Ultra 7 256V options, up to 115 TOPS of combined INT8 AI performance, 16GB of LPDDR5X memory, PCIe 4.0 expansion, and support for Windows 11 and Ubuntu.
The LattePanda Mu Ultra measures 60 x 69.6mm and uses an AMI UEFI BIOS stored on a 256Mbit SPI device. The module is available with either an Intel Core Ultra 5 226V or Core Ultra 7 256V processor, both featuring eight CPU cores and eight threads. The 226V operates at up to 4.5GHz and integrates an Intel Arc 130V GPU with seven Xe cores, together with an Intel AI Boost NPU rated at up to 40 TOPS. LattePanda lists up to 53 TOPS from the GPU and 97 TOPS of combined INT8 performance across the CPU, GPU, and NPU.

The Core Ultra 7 256V increases the maximum CPU frequency to 4.8GHz and uses Intel Arc 140V graphics with eight Xe cores. Its GPU is rated at up to 64 TOPS, while the NPU provides up to 47 TOPS, resulting in up to 115 TOPS of combined INT8 AI performance.

Both configurations include 16GB of LPDDR5X memory operating at 8533MT/s. For the Core Ultra 5 226V version, LattePanda lists memory bandwidth of up to 136.5GB/s, with up to 11.6GB available for allocation as shared GPU memory. The module does not include onboard storage, so an NVMe SSD must instead be provided through a carrier board.
Expansion is provided through the module’s edge connector, including PCIe 4.0 connectivity configurable as up to four x1 links, four x2 links, or two x4 links. Other interfaces include two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, six USB 2.0 ports, three I2C interfaces, three UARTs, 14 GPIOs, CNVio3, and three HDMI or DisplayPort outputs. An eDP interface is also available, with support for up to three independent displays.

Software support includes Windows 11 and Ubuntu 24.04 or later. LattePanda recommends Linux kernel 6.11 or newer and provides separate installation resources for Intel GPU compute and NPU drivers.
Documentation also includes BIOS firmware, edge-connector pinouts, KiCad carrier-board reference designs, mechanical drawings, and 3D models.

LattePanda Mu Ultra benchmarks
For AI workloads, LattePanda lists support for Intel OpenVINO, Ollama, llama.cpp, PyTorch, ONNX Runtime, Windows ML, DirectML, WebNN, and WebGPU. According to the company, the Core Ultra 5 226V reaches about 9,800 points in Geekbench 6 multi-core testing and 2,400 points in single-core testing at a 37W TDP setting, while the Arc 130V GPU scores roughly 2,900 in 3DMark Time Spy Graphics.
OpenVINO NPU testing is shown reaching up to 235.3 FPS with YOLO26n, while local LLM tests on the integrated GPU reach up to 55.1 tokens/s with Qwen3.5-2B-int4-ov. LattePanda also reports about 26W power consumption at 28 tokens/s with Qwen3.5-4B-int4-ov, compared with 35W and 17 tokens/s for the LattePanda Sigma, together with approximately 2.5W module-only idle consumption under Ubuntu 24.04.

LattePanda Mu Ultra + Mini carrier board
LattePanda notes that a heatsink is required for operation due to the module’s heat density. An optional active cooler uses an aluminum-alloy heatsink with a 5V fan rated at up to 5300RPM. The Mini Carrier Board requires a 12–20V input and a power supply rated at at least 50W when used with the Mu Ultra.
