UNIT DualMCU One with RP2040 for Real-Time and ESP32 for Wireless Connectivity.

The UNIT DualMCU One is a development board that combines the ESP32 and RP2040 microcontrollers. The ESP32 provides Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, while the RP2040 offers hardware control with flexible GPIO, supporting applications in IoT, robotics, and automation.

The RP2040 features a dual-core ARM Cortex-M0+ processor running at 133 MHz, offering compatibility with Arduino UNO headers and flexible GPIO capabilities. The ESP32, specifically the ESP32-WROOM-32 module, delivers integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for wireless communication.

As illustrated in the block diagram, the board utilizes an SPI interface for synchronized communication between the ESP32.

Additional hardware includes a USB Type-C hub for simultaneous communication with both microcontrollers and support for CAN bus, enabling its use in industrial and automotive applications. Connectors compatible with STEMMA and QWIIC ecosystems expand the options for peripheral integration

Other features include compatibility with Arduino UNO shields, RGB LEDs for visual feedback, and an optional MicroSD socket for additional storage. The board is powered by an MP1482DS voltage regulator, which supports input voltages up to 18V and provides a stable 5V output for peripherals.
