Radxa Fanless Network Router Offers 4 GbE Ports and NVMe Storage Up to 4TB

Jul 11, 2025 — by Giorgio Mendoza 379 views

The Radxa E24C is a fanless network computer based on the Rockchip RK3528A processor, designed for routing, edge networking, and industrial tasks. It combines four RJ45 ports, 4K HDMI output, and an M.2 NVMe slot for high-speed storage in a compact enclosure.

The Radxa E24C uses the same RK3528A processor found in the Radxa E52C and E20C, both launched in 2024. This quad-core Cortex-A53 chip includes Neon and FPU coprocessors with shared L2 cache for efficient performance. Its ARM Mali-450 GPU supports graphics with OpenGL ES and OpenVG.

The RK3528A supports high-bandwidth DDR3, LPDDR3, DDR4, and LPDDR4 memory. It can decode 4K UHD video at 60fps using H.265, H.264, and AVS2 standards, and capture 1080p video at 60fps with H.265 and H.264 encoding.

The front and side panels of the E24C include a DC power input, HDMI output, four configurable WAN/LAN Gigabit Ethernet ports, multiple USB 2.0 Type-A ports, and a USB Type-C port that supports OTG data transfer and UART debugging.

Radxa notes that the device can function as a network router and firewall for home or small office networks, offering stateful packet inspection, traffic monitoring, and QoS management. It can also be configured as a VPN gateway for secure remote access with OpenVPN and WireGuard. When paired with an NVMe SSD (supports up to 4TB), the E24C works well as a compact home media server for NAS storage, Plex or Emby streaming, and DLNA services.
