Pimoroni has unveiled a new generation of programmable wearable badges under the Badgeware name. The lineup builds on earlier devices such as the original Badger and introduces updated displays, improved durability, integrated batteries, and the RP2350 microcontroller across all models. The series includes three variants called Badger, Tufty, and Blinky.
The Badger model is an updated version of the e-paper badge released four years ago according to Pimoroni. It features a 2.7 inch greyscale e-paper panel with a resolution of 264 by 176 pixels. The device uses the RP2350 microcontroller paired with 16 MB of flash and 8 MB of PSRAM.

Wireless connectivity includes WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0, and power is supplied by a 1,000 mAh battery charged over USB-C. The badge includes user and system buttons, four rear lighting zones, and a lanyard labeled Den Tester. Pimoroni notes that the enclosure has been strengthened compared to the earlier model.

The Tufty variant follows the same core hardware platform but replaces the e-paper screen with a 2.8 inch IPS display at 320 by 240 pixels. The full colour panel supports smooth animation and is intended for dashboards, games, and other dynamic content.
It also includes 16 MB flash, 8 MB PSRAM, WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0, a 1,000 mAh battery, user and system buttons, and four rear lighting zones. A lanyard labeled Sciuridae Consultant is included.

Blinky is centered around LED based output and incorporates a 3.6 inch panel packed with a grid of white LEDs driven by Pimoroni’s Reactive Atoll technology.
The device retains the RP2350 microcontroller, 16 MB flash, 8 MB PSRAM, WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0, the 1,000 mAh battery, and the standard button layout found across the Badgeware family. It ships with a lanyard labeled Corporate Mole.
