Mini-ITX SBC runs Linux on 2.4GHz quad-core Bay Trail
Aug 19, 2015 — by Eric Brown 1,696 viewsAxiomtek’s “MANO842” Mini-ITX board runs Linux on a quad-core Bay Trail Celeron, and offers PCIe, mini-PCIe, SATA, and a choice of ATX 12V or 12V DC power.
The MANO842 is the latest of Axiomtek’s MANO-branded Mini-ITX boards, such as its Intel 4th Gen Core based MANO881. The new MANO842 opts for the Bay Trail generation Celeron J1900, a quad-core, 2.42GHz SoC with a 10W TDP. Applications are for fanless equipment, including healthcare, in-vehicle infotainment, kiosk, digital entertainment, digital signage, and POS.

The novelty here is a choice of 12V single voltage DC power or STD ATX jack, which Axiomtek says offers greater flexibility in industrial settings. The operating temperature range is a modest 0 to 60°C.
