MINIX Mini-PC Leverages AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395

MINIX is offering the ER939-AI, a compact mini PC built around AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor. The system targets high-performance desktop workloads in a small form factor, combining a 16-core CPU, integrated graphics, and an on-chip neural processing unit.

The platform uses the Ryzen AI Max+ 395, a 16-core, 32-thread processor with boost frequencies up to 5.1 GHz. It integrates an AI acceleration engine rated at 50 TOPS, with a combined system capability of up to 126 TOPS, intended for workloads such as speech recognition, image processing, and local inference.

Memory is listed as LPDDR5 running at 8000 MT/s, with configurations up to 128 GB. Storage includes a 2 TB M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, with expansion support up to 8 TB, along with an additional M.2 2242 slot for further storage.

The system supports video output up to 8K at 60 Hz and can drive up to four displays simultaneously through HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, and USB-C 4.0 interfaces.

Connectivity includes a 2.5 GbE Ethernet port, Wi-Fi 7 across 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz bands, and Bluetooth 5.4. The system also provides a mix of USB-A 3.2 Gen2, USB-A 2.0, and USB-C 4.0 ports with up to 40 Gbps bandwidth.

On the front panel, the device includes a power button with integrated fingerprint sensor, SD card slot, USB-C, two USB-A ports, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The rear panel adds HDMI, DisplayPort, Ethernet, additional USB ports, audio output, and a DC power input.

    Following the link in the article I see a price of $4,600.

    Potential buyers please be aware that other manufacturers have the same system listed for more then 50% cheaper. Good to know where MINIX stands in terms of bang for the buck…
