Low-Cost WT99P4C5-S1 Pairs ESP32-P4 SoC with ESP32-C5 Wi-Fi 6 Module

Jul 10, 2025 — by Giorgio Mendoza 272 views

Wireless-Tag’s WT99P4C5-S1 is a versatile multimedia development board built around the WT0132P4-A1 core module, which integrates Espressif’s ESP32-P4 dual-core RISC-V SoC. According to the company, this board targets applications such as AIoT, Human-Machine Interfaces, and edge computing, offering extensive connectivity, audio features, and multimedia expansion options.

The ESP32-P4 runs dual RISC-V cores at up to 400 MHz and supports AI instruction extensions, a single-precision FPU, and a low-power sub-core running up to 40 MHz for energy-efficient tasks. Developers have access to a memory subsystem with on-chip SRAM, external PSRAM, up to 16 MB of Flash, and a MicroSD card slot for additional local storage.

Wireless connectivity is provided by the ESP32-C5-WROOM-1 module, which supports dual-band 2.4 GHz/5 GHz Wi‑Fi 6 and BLE 5.3, while wired connectivity includes 10/100 Mbps Ethernet through an onboard PHY and RS-485 via an SIT3088EESA transceiver.

For audio applications, the board integrates an ES8311 audio codec with a low-noise pre-amp, headphone driver, and analog mixing, plus an NS4150B Class-D amplifier to drive speakers through a dedicated output port, while a built-in microphone connects directly to the codec. The WT99P4C5-S1 exposes a wide range of interfaces, including 55 programmable GPIOs, SPI, I2C, I2S, ADC, PWM, and UART.
