Infineon XENSIV Game Controller with PSoC 6 BLE Microcontroller Compatibility

Oct 9, 2024 — by Giorgio Mendoza 209 views

The Infineon XENSIV Game Controller combines XENSIV magnetic position sensors and the PSoC 6 BLE microcontroller to create a precise, low-power, plug-and-play device ideal for gaming and control applications.

The XENSIV magnetic position sensors provide high accuracy, ensuring the joysticks remain drift-free even after extended use according to the specs. Complementing these are XENSIV Hall switch triggers, capacitive CAPSENSE™ buttons, CAPSENSE presence detection, and a SPIDER+ rumble driver for a more immersive experience.

Upon connection to a PC or smartphone, the XENSIV Game Controller automatically configures itself as a Human Interface Device, eliminating the need for additional drivers or manual setup. The integration of Bluetooth Low Energy, alongside capacitive presence detection, helps conserve battery life by reducing power usage when idle. The PSoC 6 BLE microcontroller supports low-power operation and enables easy software and hardware customization.

Additionally, the onboard PSoC 6 debugger and customizable shield design simplify the integration of various components, allowing users to tailor the controller’s functionality to their specific needs.
