Industrial Apollo Lake based eNUC SBC offers dual M.2 slots

Seco opened pre-orders on its Linux-friendly SBC-B68-eNUC board with an Apollo Lake SoC, dual M.2 and GbE, triple or 4K displays, 4x USB ports, SATA, and optional -40 to 85°C support.

Seco’s Intel Apollo Lake based SBC-B68-eNUC adopts the same 4×4-inch (101.6 x 101.6mm) Embedded NUC (eNUC) form factor used in its Snapdragon 410E based SBC-B47-eNUC SBC. Other Apollo Lake eNUC boards include Portwell’s WUX-3455.

Whereas the Portwell product is limited to Apollo Lake Celeron and Pentium models, the SBC-B68-eNUC also supports the Atom-branded options up to a quad-core, 1.6GHz/2.0GHz Atom x7-E3950 with 12W TDP. OS support includes standard and Yocto Project based 64-bit Linux, as well as Windows 10.

Except for the greater number of USB 3.0 ports on the WUX-3455, the SBC-B68-eNUC is the more feature rich board. It supports up to 8GB of soldered LPDDR4 and offers 2x GbE ports.

For storage you get a microSD slot, a SATA interface, optional eMMC, and an M.2 B-Key slot that can load SSD, USB 3.0, PCIe x2, or cellular add-ons. The latter option is supported with a micro-SIM slot. There’s also an M.2 E-Key slot for WiFi/BT, USB 2.0, or PCIe x1.

Triple display support is enabled via dual, 4K ready mini-DP++ ports with HDMI support, as well as an eDP (or LVDS) interface. Audio I/O jacks and a speaker header are available. You also get 2x USB 3.0 ports, 2x USB 2.0 ports, and two more USB 2.0 headers in addition to the M.2 based USB options.

The SBC-B68-eNUC is further equipped with a serial, I2C, and GPIO headers, as well as IR, RTC, and optional TPM. The SBC is available in commercial and industrial temperature versions and offers wide-range power. Heat spreaders and a cable kit are optional.
