COM and carrier run custom Linux stack on ST’s Cortex A7/M4 hybrid

MYIR’s 45 x 43mm “MYC-YA157C” module runs Ubuntu 18.04 or a Yocto 2.6 based “MEasy” IoT stack on ST’s STM32MP1. A MYD-YA157C carrier adds WiFi/BT, GbE, HDMI, DSI, RGB, CAN, and multiple USB and serial ports.

Google preps low-cost Coral Dev Board Mini and Edge TPU LGA module

Google unveiled a smaller, cheaper “Coral Dev Board Mini” sibling to its Coral Dev Board that similarly features its Edge TPU and runs Linux — this time on a quad -A35 MediaTek 8167s. There’s also a solderable Edge TPU module and a new, up to 4GB Coral SOM model.

Carrier boards and mini-PCs boost the Jetsons

Diamond has unveiled a “Stevie” carrier board for the Jetson AGX Xavier that supports 8x cameras. Other recent Diamond carriers include the PCI/104 equipped Elton for the Xavier, the Jethro and smaller Ziggy for the TX2, and the enclosed ZiggyBox and Jetbox-Nano systems.

Onion’s $69 “Omega2 Dash” SBC combines its WiFi-enabled, Linux-on-MIPS based Omega2S+ module with a 3.2-inch, 320 x 240 resistive touchscreen. There’s also a microSD slot, micro-USB port, and header for adding optional LAN, ADC, servo, and NFC/RFID modules.

Linux-on-Jetson SDR board gets major SW upgrade and an enclosure

Deepwave Digital’s v0.2 release of the Ubuntu-based AirStack for its Nvidia TX2 and Artix-7 equipped AIR-T SDR board adds variable sample rate, phase locking for MIMO, easier updates, and support for Jetpack 4.2.2, Docker, and the TX2i. There’s also an optional AirPack version and a new enclosure.
